Eloquent Finds brought to you by Trail Songs Calligraphy!

By Monday, September 21, 2015 ,

Hello! I have a usual dose of eloquent finds from my recent reading and observing for you, but today they're brought to you by Trail Songs Calligraphy, the calligraphy business of my good friend Haley! It was she with whom I had the pleasure of seeing the Downton Abbey costume exhibit at the Biltmore mansion earlier this year, and she's recently started this calligraphy business of her own! I've always been entranced by her elegant, curlicue writing, and she styled all these quotes herself. The handwriting and the art she put into them is pretty impressive. Check 'em out!

What if all the myths and fairy tales were pointing to something that was not only true but also truer than anything we knew in this world, to a realm that was truer and more real? -Eric Metaxas

There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you. -Beatrix Potter

While reading is often viewed as a solitary act, it's also a social one. -Anne Bogel (Blogger at Modern Mrs. Darcy)

Why do you think I married you?... To satisfy an appetite? To save myself from being alone? Because it was the right thing to do? I had few expectations. At best, you'd be a distraction. A bandage to ease a wound. But I was mistaken. You've *redeemed* me. I am your humble servant; and I love you. -Ross to Demelza, Poldark (2015 TV series)
You wished yourself away, and with it, much more. -Aslan to Lucy, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010 film)

Doing nothing is as good as collaborating. -Madame Manec, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

She longed to know what at the moment was passing through his mind; in what manner he thought of her, and whether, in defiance of everything, she was still dear to him. -Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

You cannot fight all the world. You can only make your own small corner a fairer place. -Demelza to Ross, Poldark (2015 TV series)

That's all for today! Isn't she talented? With every picture she sent me I became more charmed. Drop Haley a line if you need fancy writing for your next event, important invitations, or fun stationery pack.
